    • This White 1997 CADILLAC DeVILLE is one of the CADILLAC'S that has the sporty DOHC 32V NORTHSTAR 4.6L V8 MPI engine. Known for their powerful 300HP output. Yet it gets 17 MPG/26 MPG Town/Highway.

      One notable advertised feature is the "limp home" fail-safe mode which allows the engine to continue running for without coolant. Supplying fuel to only one cylinder bank in turn, the engine "air cools" the inactive bank. This, combined with its all-aluminum construction and large 8 qt. oil capacity, allows the engine to maintain safe temperatures, allowing a NORTHSTAR-equipped car to be driven with no coolant for 100 mi. without damage.

      White exterior with tan or off-white leather interior. Gently driven by my late mother. She was a non-smoking owner. The front brakes were just done when she bought it and the rear brakes were just replaced now. I also just replaced the serpentine belt. She purchased the car for $5000 and only put 5000 miles on it while she owned it. The tires are MICHELIN 225/60/16. The tires have 6/32" remaining tread with 8-10/32" being new. The body has no rust and the car is in exceptional condition. The A/C runs great and has rear seat air vents. I can deliver it within 100 miles of Des Moines, Iowa.
